EH_BREWER just had Oost Indie Bier a A Style popularized by the Dutch in the 1500’s, this “DPA” was the likely precursor to the IPA as we know it. A beer brewed to withstand the journey from The Netherlands to the Oost Indie’s. (East Indie’s – now known as Indonesia)
The high percentage of Oat & Wheat Malts play a big part in separating it from other beers like it.
Though it may not seem so, this beer was hop forward for it’s time.
